Whatever your answer, I won't blame you. Digitalism, virality, machine learning, commercialism - somewhere along the way, we’ve let go of some things. Things that used to connect us, teach empathy, remind us who we are.

That's the heart of Project Poetica.

A quiet effort to reconnect - with art, with each other, with the physical world, and with what's beyond that -through some paper, poetry, and people.

Each month, the community of individuals who have joined this project are sent a handwritten poem by mail. These poems won't be found otherwise - not online or in some social media feed. Just by handwritten mail, with a stamp, from my hands to yours.

The poems aren't always that deep. The paper is plain. The handwriting is simple. But every person who has signed up has agreed - Project Poetica helps us reconnect in ways we otherwise won't.

(An Ars Poetica is a poetic form in which the poem itself examines "the art of poetry", or the authors philosophy thereof. Project Poetica, then, can be considered, as a whole, my own Ars Poetica.)
